Why Protect Endangered Species?
Many people often ask me why we should care about protecting these jeopardized creatures. We are, after all, humans - the ultimate species. Well, to harm these plants and animals, you need to feel two things:
1) Superior to Everything
We're humans, they're animals...what's the big deal? There's
nothing wrong with it, right? WRONG. There is no way to rationalize the act of
killing endangered species, or animals of any kind.
The second thing you need to feel is:
2) Very Greedy
I have no idea what is going through somebody's head who is getting
a kick out of shooting, for example, a Bald Eagle. This may seem like absolutely
immature behavior, but it occurs too often to believe. Still, many endangered
species will be deliberately harmed each and every year regardless of these efforts.
If legal hunting is not enough for you, then you definitely fall under this
category.
Please educate everyone you know about how to treat endangered species. Try to do what is right. This is not an anti-hunting page, it is an illegal shooting page. Do not illegally shoot anything, especially endangered species. Don't let your friends do it, don't let your family do it. Do not illegally harm common species so they will remain common. It IS illegal, and you will be fined and possibly jailed. Because of the increasing number of people who care, many of these idiots are now caught; that percentage can only increase with your help.
